High-Flyer From the Lowlands

A fear of heights isn’t ideal if your big dream is to become a stunt flyer. But it’s the perfect premise for a Disney movie, so here we go… Dusty, the hero of the new animated adventure “Planes,” leads a (relatively) quiet life as a crop duster in the Midwest when all he really wants is to head out into the world and become a champion air racer.

I had a chance to visit the filmmakers in Los Angeles for a behind-the-scenes report in the August issue of Lufthansa Magazine. You’ll find it in the seat pocket of any Lufthansa plane all month long.

I wrote the German text, my colleagues in Hamburg translated the article into English – giving my report about Dusty and his friends a tad of a British accent. Jolly good fun, I hope.
